Many ladies, when they get pregnant,they too along with their family members become very curious to know the sex of the unborn baby.

And for that, they make different guesses using the appearance of the belly or mother's eating habits.

Regarding this, many stories not only in our community but in the whole world community are seen.

And these stories are passed generation after generation.I have joined a few groups on Facebook, where often many ladies ask me many questions and in them many are related to the sex of the unborn baby. That is why in today's article I thought that I should share with you, what questions are usually asked,

and what are the scientific answers to those questions or myths.Today's article is very interesting, do read it till the end!

Lets move on to our first question.

Often women ask that their baby bump is more lifted from the top or protruding more towards the front, 

then is it a sign of a baby girl?

Or some women ask that their baby bump is more towards the sides then is it a sign of a baby boy?

This has not been proven by science anywhere.The shape of your baby bump before pregnancy it depends on your body shape, 

on the tone of your muscles, and on your weight gain during pregnancy.

It is not at all related to the gender of your unborn baby.

The second question is, "I went to the doctor for a check up and the doctor listened to the baby's heart beat and told that it is more than 140 beats per minute (BPM), 

so is it a sign that it is a baby boy?" You should know this that the heart beat of the baby is the same as that of the mother in the first 5 weeks of pregnancy, meaning around 80-85 BPM, and after that, around 9th week it increases and it is 170-200 BPM.

After that it starts to get slower and the average comes on 140-160 BPM. That is why it is seen in many studies,

that the heartbeat of the unborn baby has not relation to the gender. 

The third most common question that comes is

"Ever since I became pregnant,I crave sweets a lot, is it a sign of a baby girl?

"Similarly, some women ask:"I like salty stuff during pregnancy,then is it a sign I will have a baby boy?"You should have it in your knowledge that during pregnancy a lot of hormones are released and they cause different food cravings.

Or your body is deficient in some nutrient due to which you crave that specific thing. Eating sweet or salty stuff has no relation to the gender of the unborn baby.

The next question is: "Ever since I became pregnant,my skin has become very dull and oily, then is it a sign of a baby girl?

"Because many people think that if mother's skin becomes dull or oily it must be a baby girl and she is taking all the beauty of her mother. 

You should know this that the hormones being released during pregnancy they affect your skin all over your body, especially on face and your face can become darker, or get pigmentation or you can also get oily skin.

 It has no relation to the sex of your baby.

Some women ask that

"Ever since I got pregnant, hair have appeared on my legs and face,does this mean I will have a baby boy?"I have this answer for them that the baby does not produce any such hormones that would affect mother's hair growth. 

That is why it is not a sign of baby boy.

Many women ask this question,that they get severe nausea or vomiting during pregnancy.

There has been some research regarding this, and it is seen that those people who have severe nausea vomiting first trimester it is good indication that they would have a baby girl in their house.

Though there is still quiet a lot of research need to be done to confirm this further.

Now we will tell you,

what most reliable method should you follow using which you can know if you will have a baby boy or girl.

The first method on the list is ultrasound.If you get an ultrasound after 16 weeks of pregnancy,then you can get a confirmation more than 90 percent whether you have a baby boy or girl.

Because ultrasound machines nowadays are of very high quality and they have a good resolution.

And if your doctor is very skilled then they can easily tell you about the gender of your baby.

Another benefit of ultrasound is that it does not require for you to be injected with anything neither eat any medicines. It is a very noninvasive test.That is why it is the best test.

There are other medical tests as well that can even confirm 100% about the sex of the baby.

For example  villas chorionic sampling,

fetal blood sampling.

But beware, a little amount of the baby's tissue is required and these are invasive tests and they have risks as well.

 These tests are usually done for other diseases, when the doctor thinks that the baby has, God forbid, some chromosomal abnormality or to see something else. 

Since it has a high risk, it is not done for everyone without any good reason.
